I found a great "fake it" project on Pinterest for Roman Shades. I always wanted a pair somewhere in the house and I had a small window up stairs in need of some pizzazz. It involves only a few hems and three curtain rods. The hardest part is picking out the fabric you want to use. I had just made a pillow in this same fabric and fell in love with it, so I went for it! Now I'm trying to figure out how to add this to some other windows in my house...
